Description
We were driving to a spot to unload the ski-doos and came across this female Belted Kingfisher. I didn't think they stayed winters here, so I was very happy to have come across her. There was a good part of the creek free from ice and I could tell this was her spot. It was so amazing getting to spend some time with her and get some photographs. Kingfishers have been very elusive for me to get close enough to for a photograph, until this one.
